When a Beekoozy host stays at another Beekoozy property as a guest, the system works differently:

  • The host-guest cannot leave a negative public review
  • Instead, they may send a private internal message

The goal is education, not punishment.

Host Protection & Insurance Options

Beekoozy provides hosts with full control over how they protect their property. Each host may choose one of the following three protection options for their listing.

Security Deposit
Optional

The host may require a refundable security deposit from the guest.

  • Higher upfront cost (refundable)
  • Medium protection level
  • Coverage limited to deposit amount
  • Some guests dislike deposits

Good basic protection but can lead to disputes and delays when damages occur.

Guest Insurance
Best Option

The host may require the guest to purchase low-cost stay insurance.

  • Low-cost insurance fee for guest
  • High protection level
  • Excellent peace of mind for host
  • Low dispute risk (insurance handles claims)
  • Smooth, worry-free experience

Low cost for guests, strong protection for hosts, fewer conflicts, and faster resolutions.

No Deposit / No Insurance
Not Recommended

The host may choose not to require a deposit or insurance.

  • No additional cost to guest
  • No protection
  • No peace of mind
  • High dispute risk
  • Host assumes full responsibility

No protection. The host fully assumes the risk if anything happens during the stay.

Evidence Requirements

To guarantee fairness and avoid "pre-existing condition" excuses:

For Hosts:

Must provide photo/video proof of property condition before guest arrival.

For Guests:

Encouraged to inspect the property at check-in and report anything unusual immediately.

Damage must be reported within 7 days after checkout or before the next booking, whichever comes first.

Fair Reviews

Reviews & Fairness Policy

At Beekoozy, fairness, transparency, and mutual respect are the foundation of our platform. We recognize how much effort hosts put into maintaining their properties and delivering excellent guest experiences.

Review Dispute & Removal Process

Beekoozy will review all requests for the removal of negative reviews. To ensure a fair evaluation, we may request:

  • Before-and-after photos or videos
  • Written communications between host and guest
  • Any additional documentation relevant to the stay

If, after review, Beekoozy determines that a review was left in bad faith, contains false statements, or is not supported by evidence, the review will be removed.

In such cases:

  • • The host will be permitted to leave a review for the guest
  • • The host will not face retaliation or additional negative reviews
Automatic 5-Star Review Policy

To reflect reality and fairness:

Any completed stay without a guest review within 10 days will automatically receive a 5-star review.

We understand that many guests have excellent experiences but forget to leave reviews due to busy schedules. This policy ensures hosts are not penalized for positive stays that go unreviewed.
